November 25, 2013

Tim Adams and Mia Cobb run a website called Human Animal Science. They produce regular podcast of interviews/chats they have with scientists working in the field of anthrozoology (all things human-animals). If you are interested in anthrozoology, I recommend you follow them!

Radio Interview about studying cognition and behaviour in captive dingoes

November 12, 2013

I was interviewed by Ruby Vincent for her community radio program and website  'A question of balance". It was an interesting chat where we spoke about dingoes, and how they compare to wolves and domestic dogs in terms of behaviours, intelligence, and human-animal relationships. It was for a series Ruby has put together on dingoes, which features many great interviews from dingo scientists.

My university also followed up the interview with a short news article.

Guest blog post for 'Do you believe in dog'

October 3, 2013

I was asked by Julie Hecht and Mia Cobb to contribute a blog post about 'dingo science' to their awesome blog about all things dogs 'Do you believe in dog?". This was my first attempt at writing a blog, so I hope it is ok! I recommend you follow their blog if you are interested in an entertaining coverage of dog science.

Dingo photos appear in the winter edition of 'Wildlife Australia' Magazine.

Winter, 2013

The latest volume of 'Wildlife Australia' magazine includes two great stories about dingoes. One is written by dingo ecologist Prof Chris Johnson on the ecological role of dingoes, and the other by Deborah Rose Bird on the public perception of dingoes. Not only are these worth a read, I supplied the magazine with many of the photos that appear in the articles.

Television interview with WIN Television regarding dingo management on Fraser Island

January 3, 2013

I was interviewed by WIN Wide Bay television news about the dingoes on Fraser Island and how my research can help with management policies and strategies. I argue that Fraser Island has a human problem, not a dingo problem.

One of many news articles (Fraser Coast Chronicle) that resulted from this interview can be found by clicking the link below.
